Tyson was introduced to pickleball in 2015 by a fellow tennis player who he was giving lessons to. Tyson started playing 1 day a week at a local YMCA and after competing in his first tournament fell in love. His first tournament was the Coeur d’Alene Classic in 2015, he played 4.5 singles and took gold.
Tyson became a dad in January of 2014. His son Ty is the highlight of his life. He carries on his dad’s style of parenting strict at times, but mostly a softy at heart. Giving in from time to time with sweet treats and fun adventures.
Tyson has always had a passion for teaching. He grew up in a coaching family. His dad coached wrestling for over 35 years. His oldest brother followed suit as a head wrestling coach after. Tyson’s brother Jay was his head wrestling coach his senior year with his dad as assistant coach.
