IPTPA/PPR Certified Pros

Ethan’s journey into pickleball began after a college tennis wrist injury put him on the sidelines—except when he could sneak off to play pickleball with the locals. It didn’t take long for him to get hooked. Soon after, Tyson welcomed him into the fold, and the two built a friendship on the courts, the golf course, and even over UFC fight nights.

With more than 15 Open Gold Medals, a Top 100 PPA ranking, and clients across 20+ states, Ethan has made his mark on the game. At camp, he’s known for breaking things down in detail so players leave with a deeper understanding of not just how, but why. Of course, his signature sarcastic humor makes the learning that much more fun.

IPTPA/PPR Certified Pros

Matthew picked up a paddle for the first time back in 2019—thanks to Tyson himself—and he hasn’t looked back since. With a DUPR of 5.7 and multiple main draws on the PPA Tour, Matthew brings both high-level play and high energy to every session.

As a former college tennis teammate and longtime friend of Tyson’s (going on 20 years strong!), Matthew’s connection to the McGuffin crew runs deep. His favorite part of coaching at Tyson McGuffin Camps? Meeting players from all walks of life and sharing the court with them.
